ABOUT

Mark Liddell is a photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland with over a decade of industry experience.

He graduated from the University of St Andrews with an MA in English Language and Literature, and was subsequently selected to participate as an English teacher in Japan’s largest cultural exchange programme. Mark bought his first “real” camera to document the journey, but – during his years as a teacher – was increasingly drawn to life behind the lens.

Now resident in the UK once again, Mark works as a photographer full time. Specialising in commercial photography, his work has been published internationally to market some of the world’s leading brands, from Fujifilm to Japan Airlines. His pictures have also been used in editorials worldwide, including Lonely Planet, Men’s Health, and Elle Magazine; as well as on primetime television for the likes of CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and British comedy/quiz show, QI. In addition, Mark is a contributor to Getty Images - the world’s largest stock photography agency and has exhibited across the UK.

Mark regularly works with performers and talent to help promote their work, using his eye for visual storytelling to weave authentic emotion and technical artistry to create striking and memorable imagery.

He is available for commissions, all works considered. For information, plus prints and image licensing, please see the contact page.
